2. Information We Collect (Zero Mandatory Registration)

TypingDost is built with a privacy-first approach. You are never required to register an account, provide a password, or submit sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) to take typing tests, practice 14+ languages, or check your WPM speed.

• Local Browser Data: Your test configuration settings (such as selected language, chosen timer duration, sound effects volume, preferred visual theme, and high scores) are stored exclusively on your device via HTML5 localStorage. This data never leaves your browser and is never stored on our central databases.
• Custom Uploaded Text & PDFs: When you practice typing with custom text files or uploaded PDFs, all parsing and text processing occur 100% locally on your browser via client-side JavaScript. We never upload, inspect, or store your custom documents.
• Typing Speed Certificates: When you generate a verified PDF certificate, the certificate generation logic executes locally on your device. We do not store or sell your test scores or candidate names.
• Voluntary Contact Information: If you contact us directly via our Contact Form or email, we may receive your name, email address, message contents, and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used strictly to answer your inquiries.

3. Log Files & Analytics

TypingDost follows standard industry practices for log file generation. These logs record visitors when they access website pages. The information collected may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose is for analyzing site trends, administering the site, tracking user movement, and gathering demographic information to optimize server performance.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled to understand site engagement, popular typing test lessons, and regional language demand.

4. Cookies & Web Beacons

Like any other modern website, TypingDost uses "cookies". These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

5. Google DoubleClick DART Cookie & Google AdSense

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on TypingDost, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Note: TypingDost has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

TypingDost does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

We employ modern Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, content delivery network (CDN) security protocols, and security headers to protect your communication with our website. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we recommend that users exercise caution online.
